Energy Storage Development in Virginia

Building on Virginia’s existing energy storage targets, new proposed legislation aim to significantly bolster energy storage development in the state by increasing procurement targets of energy storage to 10,000 MW total by 2040.

Ramping up energy storage development will help the state strengthen grid stability and reliability, ensuring that Virginia businesses and ratepayers have consistent electricity to attract new investment and meet the energy needs of an active and growing state.
